Wotzbelí being very small, the family moved to Quetzaltenango Aguilar, and the land was his studies at the Institute for Men of the West (INVO) to keep pace with musical studies at the beginning with Manuel Sandoval and later with Jesus Castillo. </p>
<p>Instruments of choice were the piano and guitar, which was especially happy to transform Guatemalan air are in a movement similar to the quick support of the march written compas 6 / 8, which gave rise to the the pace of creating &#8220;guarimba&#8221; that with great pride for Guatemalans are currently estimated to represent the music as mixed race. It began in the implementation of the marimba from a child and 12 years of age composed his first song with the title &#8220;Herlinda&#8221;, later was director of marimbas, including among them the marimba Brigade Military Gen. Manuel Lisandro Barillas, &#8220;which he founded in 1947. This marimba traveled the United States of America, Mexico, Cuba and Europe, notching up big wins, both with the marimba as a composer. </p>
<p>Among his musical works are: &#8220;Adoración&#8221;; &#8220;Gitana mia&#8221;; &#8220;Mi reina&#8221;: &#8220;Vision azul&#8221;: &#8220;Diamante negro&#8221;; &#8220;Centroamericanas&#8221;; &#8220;Tennis Club&#8221; and many more. Most of his music is recorded. Professor of Music Education in various national and private establishments in his hometown, where he died on May 17, 1973. </p>
<p>He received several awards and honors during his lifetime and the House of Culture Quetzaltengo the Conderación conferred posthumously.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Born in San Juan Ostuncalco, Quetzaltenango on October 1, 1891, died in Guatemala City on May 27, 1966. One of the glories of the music of the twentieth century Guatemalan <strong>RICARDO CASTILLO</strong>, influenced by the currents of the Enlightenment in Guatemala was the first to create works of impressionist trend coming to this part of the exponents of the most modern music Guatemala. </p>
<p>He was also one of the first musicians to travel abroad, after studying at the National Conservatory of Music he moved to Paris where he studied harmony, counterpoint, composition and violin flight, where he met the pianist eximia Georgette with whom Contoux Quanta married, then both taught at the Conservatory. </p>
<p>Some of his works are music for piano and orchestral works a few high-identity as Maya Ballet Paal Kaba, Fiesta, Prints, and Tikal Stelae Xibalba, as well Two Leak, Homage to Ravel and Sinfonietta. </p>
<p>Among his latest works include Snapshots Plásticas premiered in 1968, and another abstraction Tribute to Ravel for violin and piano consists of two sections of prelude minuet and premiered in 1960 by the violinist Carlos Ciudad Real Ciudad Real with Rachel. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Composer, singer and guitarist was a Guatemalan Francisco Perez Munoz, the son of Spanish Jose Perez and Luz Munoz, was born in Huehuetenango on April 25, 1917, where he learned his first letters in the school &#8220;Aurora&#8221;. </p>
<p>In 1927 he moved with his family to Quetzaltenango, where he had several performances as a singer and declaim. Later, with Manolo Rosales and Jose Luis Alvarez formed the trio &#8220;Quetzalteco&#8221;, which was consecrated as a great singer. </p>
<p>In 1944 competitions in the Capitol Theater in the capital of Guatemala, obtaining the 3rd. place with his song &#8220;Luna Xelaju,&#8221; which soon became popular inside and outside the country. </p>
<p>Paco Peréz worked as an officer tried 2o. of First Instance in Quetzaltenango, until 1944 when work began on the National Radio TWG, where he created the comic character &#8220;Ciriaco Cintura&#8221; on the agenda of the &#8220;Tremenda Corte&#8221;. He was also an important character in the comedy &#8220;Un loteriazo en plena crisis&#8221; and acted in the national film &#8220;The Sombrerón.&#8221; </p>
<p>In addition to &#8220;Luna de Xelajú&#8221; let the songs &#8220;Tzanjuyu&#8221;, &#8220;Azabia&#8221;, &#8220;Nenita&#8221;, &#8220;Madrecita&#8221;, &#8220;Arrepetimiento&#8221;, &#8220;Patoja Linda&#8221; and &#8220;Chichicastenango&#8221;; died in the plane crash that also took other Guatemalan artists the October 27, 1951.</p>

<p>Valverde and was executed the piano virtuoso guitarist and prominent director of marimba, an instrument in which I try to evolve its implementation, teaching Solfa play. Hurtado traveled with the brothers by the United States of America in the early twentieth century with a set of marimba that reaped many awards for the land of Uncle Sam, which was recorded most of his repertoire. </p>
<p>He wrote more than a hundred compositions, while including &#8220;Noche de Luna entre Ruinas&#8221;; &#8220;Horas Grises&#8221;; &#8220;Ultimo Amor&#8221;; &#8220;Ondas Azules; &#8220;Reir Llorando&#8221;, and so on. He died in the capital of Guatemala on 27 December 1956.</p>

<p>In several national and private educational establishments brought the teaching and administrative posts between that performance, is the Assistant Director of the Normal School for Teachers of Education and Musical Director, and Director of the National Institute of Fine Arts.<br />
He was given a scholarship to do research on the South American folklore in Venezuela, having brought the country experiences on this difficult branch. </p>
<p>He composed music of different genres, from which we quote: a collection of songs for children published in 1960, the symphonic poem &#8220;Legends of the volcano&#8221;, the oratorio &#8220;Coronation&#8221;, the Symphony suite-male voice choir for &#8220;Tecun Uman&#8221;; Mass accompanied by marimba and different songs. </p>
<p>Despite the fact run between the first two graduates of the Normal School for Teachers of Music Education, its title has the record No.13 and he had the honor of being the first Professor of Music Education at the School of Rural No.2 Chotacaj, Totonicapán. </p>
<p>He received several medals and diplomas, which won tributes for his magnificent artistic and educational work. He died in the capital city of Guatemala on November 15, 1980.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Guatemala is another composer who was born in Vancouver on March 17, 1939, with his parents Juan Antonio Tzul Juliana and Lacan. Study music in school &#8220;Jesus Castillo of Quetzaltengo, where he received master classes with Peter Donis, Paco Alvarado, Manuel Enrique Guerrero and poured; plays trumpet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone, piano, guitar and marimba, and has composed many sets as the orchestra &#8220;Red&#8221;, &#8220;The Cock&#8221;; the marimba &#8220;Alva&#8221; and the &#8220;Ideal&#8221;, and &#8220;Manzanero Echoes&#8221; and so on. Among the groups that have been under his leadership, are the &#8220;Melodic Tropical&#8221;, the &#8220;Combo 78&#8243;: &#8220;Indian Princess&#8221;, &#8220;American Queen&#8221; and others. He was also organizer of the &#8220;Combo Brasilia.&#8221; </p>
<p>He has written music in different rhythms such as ballads, bagpipes, cumbias, merengue, xuc, sones, marches, and so on. But throughout his music defines the hallmark of guatemaltequismo, because despite the style of each pace abroad, always Tzul gives a certain flavor that immediately identifies itself as Guatemalan music. </p>
<p>From his repertoire include the following topics: :&#8221;Sufriendo&#8221;; &#8220;Cariñito no te vayas&#8221;; &#8220;Que ingrata eres&#8221;, &#8220;Gozando en Guatemala&#8221;, &#8220;Esperaré&#8221; and so on. </p>
<p>For his meritorious work has received diplomas, medals and a trophy in the United States.</p>

Huehuetango of the December 31, 1917; accountant, sports columnist and composer, his dedication to the musical composition has been developed as an entertainment and has had a major production in which he has sung the beauty of the motherland and most especially to different places, both Guatemalans and other Central American countries and Mexico, which has been called <strong><em>The singer of the landscape</em></strong>.</p>
<p>Many of his songs have been recorded in the United States, Central America, Mexico and Colombia. </p>
<p>Of their musical works include some that have been recorded by diferenes houses producing albums: &#8220;El día de tu santo&#8221;; &#8220;Milagroso Señor de Esquipulas&#8221;; &#8220;La Sanjuanerita&#8221;; &#8220;La Tortillera Mixqueña&#8221;; &#8220;El Campesino&#8221;; &#8220;El Labrador&#8221;; &#8220;El Chimalteco&#8221;; &#8220;Soy de Zacapa&#8221;; &#8220;Volcan de Pacaya&#8221;; &#8220;Livingston&#8221;, and so on. </p>
<p>Has earned multiple tributes to him have given different entities; major are among the degree of Emeritisimo that awarded the University of San Carlos and that he tributó the APG (Association of Journalists of Guatemala) in the grand Teatro Nacional. The government granted him a lifetime pension, which he had been suspended, but later recovered.</p>

<p>This is considered one of the greatest figures in Latin America. Through its professional vocation reece the art of creating, and still facing the constraints of the environment being able to perform their technique and enthusiasm in the service of national folklore, in which the divine estrous found the boot that allowed his spirit to be expressions translated into sound pictures. </p>
<p>The French government decorated it with &#8220;<strong>The Academic Palms</strong>&#8221; and was an honorary member of the Academic Society of International History in Paris; active member of the Society of Geography and History in Guatemala; honorary member of the Society of Musical Culture of Costa Rica , And so on. Among his works are: &#8220;Fiesta de pájaros&#8221;; suites Three Indians, three orchestral poems; symphonic poem <strong>&#8220;Tecún Uman&#8221; and &#8220;Bartizanic&#8221; and &#8220;Nicte&#8221;</strong> arrangements of traditional dances<strong> &#8220;La Conquista,&#8221; &#8220;El Torito&#8221; Los Venados&#8221; y &#8220;La Culebra&#8221;</strong> and his literary invaluable for his deep research: &#8220;Music Maya Quiche.&#8221; We can say that their studies of expressions of the songbirds of the paternalist Mesoamerica suggest a scientific expertise that already is a formal science in the countries cults and inquisitive: The Ornitofonía. This large Guatemalan died on April 23, 1946. </p>
<p>Castillo was Jesus&#8217; brother Ricardo Castillo, another famous musician Guatemalteco.</p>

<p>He was an active member of the AGAYC, the entity which was also Chairman; musical compositions among which are: &#8220;Regalito de amor&#8221;; &#8220;Los autobuses&#8221;; &#8220;La polka de mamá&#8221;; &#8220;La polka de la abuelita&#8221;; &#8220;El enfrascade&#8221;; &#8220;Quetzaltenango&#8221;; &#8220;15 de Septiembre&#8221;; &#8220;Villa Nueva&#8221;, and so on. </p>
<p>For his work was worthy of several tributes and diplomas, a trophy and the silver disc DIDECA. He died on March 11, 1978 in Guatemala City.</p>
