Mariano Valverde

Born in Quetzaltenango on November 20, 1884, studied at the Institute for Boys in the West and received private music lessons, after moving to the Conservatorio Nacional de Guatemala.

Valverde and was executed the piano virtuoso guitarist and prominent director of marimba, an instrument in which I try to evolve its implementation, teaching Solfa play. (Picture in the dictionary of guitarists written by Domingo Prat, published in Argentina). Hurtado traveled with the brothers by the United States of America in the early twentieth century with a set of marimba that reaped many awards for the land of Uncle Sam, which was recorded most of his repertoire.

He wrote more than a hundred compositions, while including “Noche de Luna entre Ruinas”; “Horas Grises”; “Ultimo Amor”; “Ondas Azules; “Reir Llorando”, and so on. He died in the capital of Guatemala on 27 December 1956.
